Can some of these themes be mapped across the diagram? It looks like there's some overlaps that could occur when you put one or two things alongside each other. The role of decoration and questions about legibility for instance.
There's quite a lot that you've outlined which I'd suggest was trimmed down. Each of the headings is a good starting point and I guess what you need to do next is to begin to refine down to a particular theme that interests you and that you'd like to do more research into (which might be a slight problem with all of the themes you've sketched out).
Some of what you've written are statements which would need to be developed into something that you'd be able to write about in an essay, but as I said they're not terrible places to start. You might want to look at what others have written about these themes - in the way that you've identified ideas as coming from Beatrice Warde's essay. With the thoughts of what others have written, you might be able to locate the particular theme(s) that's most interesting.
